My mother was an unwed parent, back in 2000 she purchased a 3rm resale flat with me (her daughter) as an occupant. Few years ago, my name was added as co-owner. There was no issue with the application at all. Recently i decided to withdraw my name as co-owner by means of a transfership with no monetary involved and the application was rejected as HDB cited my mother cannot own the flat by herself now. I don't understand the rationale, they said unless my mother can prove her status as divorced, i can take out my name. She's unwed in the first place how to get a divorce I qns the officer and he only said sorry, HDB policy.
Now my question is can I then sell my share to my mother under HDB resale part-share? She becomes sole owner taking over as Single Singapore Eligibility scheme? Is she eligible for that and will my application be rejected again? Our flat is fully paid up and for this flat she paid around 80k using her cpf.
will HDB also not approve this monetary ownership transfer?
